The short version: I'm an independent iOS developer and I don't sell your personal information, and I never will. I collect as little as possible, lean on Apple's platforms to handle what's needed, and try to be plain and honest about all of it.
This Privacy Policy explains how Varsha Jadhav ("I", "me", or "my"), an individual independent iOS developer based in India, handles information in connection with this website and any mobile applications I publish (together, the "Services").
This is a general policy that applies across my website and apps. Because each app is different, an individual app may include its own privacy notice or an App Store privacy label ("Privacy Nutrition Label"). Where an app-specific notice and this policy differ, the app-specific notice takes precedence for that app.
At the time of writing, I have not yet published any apps. This policy is provided in advance so that the practices are clear before any app is released.
If you email me for support or feedback, I receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. I use this only to respond to you.
Apps may process limited technical information on your device, such as basic settings, preferences, or diagnostic data, to function correctly. Wherever possible this stays on your device. If an app uses Apple's services (for example iCloud or crash reporting), that data is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms.
I do not run advertising trackers, I do not build advertising profiles, and I do not buy or sell personal data. This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, I rely on the following lawful bases under the GDPR: performance of a contract (to deliver an app or service you use), legitimate interests (to keep the Services secure and to improve them), consent (where you have given it, which you may withdraw), and legal obligation (where the law requires).
I am a one-person operation and I do not sell or rent your data. Limited information may be processed by trusted providers strictly to run the Services, for example:
These providers may only use the information to perform services for me, and I may also disclose information where required by law.
I am based in India and the providers I rely on may process data in other countries. Where information is transferred across borders, it remains protected by the safeguards and contractual terms offered by those providers (such as Apple and the website host).
I keep support emails only as long as needed to help you and to keep a reasonable record, after which they are deleted. Data stored on your device stays until you delete the app or clear it. Data held in your iCloud account is controlled by you through your Apple settings.
I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including relying on encrypted connections and Apple's platform security. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but I work to protect your information and will act promptly if an issue arises.
My Services are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and I do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided me information, please contact me and I will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, just email me and I'll help. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
I do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and I do not carry out behavioural profiling.
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I'll revise the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes I'll make a clearer notice where appropriate.
